Dr. Heidi Aaronson is a 2008 graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She has a passion for sports dentistry, having been a member of the Academy for Sports Dentistry since 2008, and has also lectured and written journal articles on the topic of custom mouthguards. She also enjoys working with children and has externship experience at a pediatric dental clinic in Providence, Rhode Island, where she learned the skills necessary to work on children without the need for sedation.

Dr. Heidi's passion for pediatrics expanded as she learned more about ties and the need for  skilled practicioners and specialists trained in the proper diagnosis and treatment

of tethered oral tissues. Dr. Heidi is also the mother of two young daughters, both of whom had lip and tongue ties and were not diagnosed properly, despite difficulties with nursing. Dr. Heidi has experience with ties, both as the mother of a tied child, as well as a treating doctor. She is a member of the International Affiliation of Tongue-Tie Professionals (IATP) and the International Consortium of Oral Ankylofrenula Professionals, and continuously completes continuing education classes on the ever-changing subject of tongue and lip ties.

Dr. Heidi has been recognized for her accomplishments to the field of dentistry, including organizing a humanitarian mission trip to the Dominican Republic to provide free dental care to orphans and villagers with no access to care. She created an event called "Tooth Day at Fenway Park" in 2006 that has since become an annual event aimed at increasing awareness of the dangers of chewing tobacco and the risks of oral cancer. Dr. Heidi has also volunteered to treat Holocaust survivors living below the poverty line for free, to ensure that finances do not prevent them from achieving dental health and function. She also works with the U.S. Army and National Reserve to ensure healthy teeth and gums prior to deployment.

Dr. Heidi's accomplishments and contributions to the field of dentistry earned her a Fellowship in the American College of Dentists, which is the highest honor bestowed upon a dentist in the United States. She was inducted in October 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was also named one of Massachusetts' top "Ten Under 10" dentists in 2010, which selects the top ten dentists who have been in practice for ten years or less, and in 2018 she was selected as one of the Top Dentists by Boston Magazine in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. Most recently, she was honored as one of the country's top 40 dentists under age 40 by Benco Dental's "Incisal Edge" magazine.
